Another way to separate text in Excel is to use the TRIM function. The TRIM function removes all spaces from the beginning and end of a text string. To use the TRIM function, type the following formula into a cell:

Finally, you can use the SUBSTITUTE function to separate text in Excel. The SUBSTITUTE function replaces all instances of one text string with another text string. To use the SUBSTITUTE function, type the following formula into a cell:

=SUBSTITUTE(cell_containing_text, "text_to_replace", "text_to_replace_with")
