There are a few ways to create a dropdown list in Excel. One way is to use a data validation list. To do this, first create a list of items in a column on a worksheet. Then, select the cell or cells you want to use for the dropdown list. On the Data tab, in the Data Tools group, click Data Validation. In the Data Validation dialog box, under Settings, select List. In the Source box, select the range of cells that contains the items for the dropdown list. Click OK.

Another way to create a dropdown list is to use a combo box. To do this, first create a list of items in a column on a worksheet. Then, select the cell or cells you want to use for the dropdown list. On the Developer tab, in the Controls group, click Insert. In the Controls group, click Combo Box. Draw a rectangle on the worksheet to represent the combo box. In the Properties pane, in the Control Source box, select the range of cells that contains the items for the dropdown list. Click OK.

A third way to create a dropdown list is to use a list box. To do this, first create a list of items in a column on a worksheet. Then, select the cell or cells you want to use for the dropdown list. On the Developer tab, in the Controls group, click Insert. In the Controls group, click List Box. Draw a rectangle on the worksheet to represent the list box. In the Properties pane, in the Control Source box, select the range of cells that contains the items for the dropdown list. Click OK.
