How to Create an Excel Spreadsheet

To create an Excel spreadsheet, open a new document in Excel. Click in the top-left corner of the document, type the name of the spreadsheet, and press Enter. Click in the first cell of the spreadsheet and type the number 1. This is the first cell in the row. Type the number 2 in the next cell to the right. This is the second cell in the row. Type the number 3 in the next cell to the right. This is the third cell in the row.

To create a column, click in the cell to the right of the last cell in the row. Type the number 1. This is the first cell in the column. Type the number 2 in the next cell to the right. This is the second cell in the column. Type the number 3 in the next cell to the right. This is the third cell in the column.

To create a table, click in the first cell in the first row and the first cell in the first column. Click in the bottom-right corner of the cell and drag the cursor to the bottom-left corner of the cell. This will create a table with four cells.

To insert a row, click in the row below the row you want to insert the row and click the Insert Row button.

To insert a column, click in the column to the right of the column you want to insert the column and click the Insert Column button.

To delete a row, click in the row you want to delete and click the Delete Row button.

To delete a column, click in the column you want to delete and click the Delete Column button.

To save the spreadsheet, click the File tab and click Save. Type a name for the spreadsheet and click Save.
