How to Create a Drop Down List in Excel

There are a few ways to create a drop down list in Excel. One way is to use a data validation list. To do this, select the cells you want to contain the drop down list, go to the Data tab, and click Data Validation. In the window that pops up, select List from the Allow drop down menu, and then type the items you want in the Source box.

Another way to create a drop down list is to use a combo box. To do this, select the cells you want to contain the drop down list, go to the Developer tab, and click Insert. In the window that pops up, select Combo Box from the list of controls, and then click in the cell where you want the combo box to appear.

The final way to create a drop down list is to use a form control. To do this, select the cells you want to contain the drop down list, go to the Developer tab, and click Insert. In the window that pops up, select Form Control from the list of controls, and then click in the cell where you want the form control to appear.
