ISTEXT is a function in Google Sheets that allows you to extract text from a cell. To use ISTEXT, simply enter the following formula in a cell:

ISTEXT(cell_containing_text)

For example, if you wanted to extract the text from the cell A1, you would enter the following formula:

The text from the cell A1 will then be returned in the cell that you entered the formula in.
