Let's say you have a decimal number of 765, and you want to convert it to hexadecimal. You would enter the following into a Google Sheet:

DEC2HEX(765)

and press "Enter." The hexadecimal number that corresponds to 765 is 1F7.

DEC2HEX should not be used when there are more than 255 columns in the sheet, as it will return an error. Additionally, DEC2HEX should not be used when there are more than 65535 rows in the sheet, as it will also return an error.

There are a few similar formulae to DEC2HEX in Google Sheets. One is the DEC2BIN function, which converts a decimal number to binary. Another is the HEX2DEC function, which converts a hexadecimal number to decimal. Finally, the TOHEX function converts a decimal number to hexadecimal.
