Using the Keyboard to Select and Resize a Chart Object in Excel

There are a few different ways that you can use the keyboard to select and resize a chart object in Excel. Here are some tips:

  1. To select the entire chart, press Ctrl+A. You can also click on the chart once with your mouse to select it.

  2. To select a specific element of the chart, such as the title or legend, use the arrow keys on your keyboard to navigate to it. Once it is highlighted, you can press Enter to select it.

  3. To resize the entire chart, click on it once with your mouse to select it. Then, press and hold down the Shift key on your keyboard. While still holding down Shift, use the arrow keys on your keyboard to make the chart larger or smaller.

  4. To resize a specific element of the chart, such as the title or legend, first use the arrow keys on your keyboard to navigate to it. Once it is highlighted, press and hold down the Shift key on your keyboard. While still holding down Shift, use the arrow keys on your keyboard to make that element larger or smaller.
