Turning Off AutoFill for a Workbook in Excel

If you're using Excel for work, you may want to turn off AutoFill to avoid accidentally filling in cells with the wrong data. Here's how:

  1. Open the workbook in Excel.
  2. Click on the File tab in the top-left corner.
  3. Click Options in the drop-down menu.
  4. Click on Advanced in the left sidebar.
  5. Scroll down to the Editing options section and uncheck the Enable AutoFill options checkbox.
  6. Click OK to save your changes and close the dialog box.

Now, when you try to use AutoFill in your workbook, you'll see a warning message telling you that it's been turned off. You can still use AutoFill if you want, but you'll have to confirm each action before it's carried out.
