Switching Headers in a Frozen Row in Excel

If you have a header row in your Excel spreadsheet that you want to keep visible while you scroll through the rest of the data, you can freeze the header row. This will keep the header cells visible at the top of your screen as you scroll down.

To freeze the header row:

  1. Click on the View tab at the top of the Excel window.
  2. Click on Freeze Panes in the Window group.
  3. Click on Freeze Top Row.

Your header row is now frozen and will stay visible as you scroll down through your spreadsheet.
