Sorting by Columns in Excel

To sort by columns in Excel, first select the data you want to sort. Then, click the Data tab on the ribbon and click Sort. In the Sort dialog box, choose the column you want to sort by in the Sort by drop-down list. You can also choose whether to sort in ascending or descending order. Finally, click OK to sort the data.

If you want to sort by multiple columns, first select the data you want to sort. Then, click the Data tab on the ribbon and click Sort. In the Sort dialog box, choose the first column you want to sort by in the Sort by drop-down list. Then, click the Add Level button. In the next Sort by drop-down list, choose the second column you want to sort by. You can also choose whether to sort in ascending or descending order for each column. Finally, click OK to sort the data.
