Sending Drawing Objects to the Back or Front in Excel

When you have multiple drawing objects on a worksheet, you may want to change the order in which they appear. For example, you may want a shape that's in the background to move to the front, or vice versa. To do this, you can use the Bring To Front and Send To Back commands.

To bring a drawing object to the front or send it to the back:

  1. Select the drawing object that you want to move.
  2. On the Format tab, in the Arrange group, click Bring To Front or Send To Back.
