When you have multiple drawing objects on a worksheet, you may want to change the order in which they appear. For example, you may want a shape that's in the background to move to the front, or vice versa. To do this, you can use the Bring To Front and Send To Back commands.
To bring a drawing object to the front or send it to the back:
To | Do this |
Bring a drawing object in front of all other objects on its layer | Click Bring Forward (in the Arrange group on the Format tab). You can keep clicking until the object is in front of all other objects on its layer. |
Bring a drawing object in front of all other objects on all layers | Click Bring To Front (in the Arrange group on the strong>Format tab). You can keep clicking until the object is in front of all other objects on all layers. |
Send a drawing object behind all other objects on its layer | Click Send Backward (in the Arrange group on the Format tab). You can keep clicking until the object is behind all other objects on its layer. |
