Replacing Dashes with Periods in Excel

If you want to replace dashes with periods in Excel, there are a few different ways that you can do this. One way is to use the Find and Replace feature. To do this, click on the Home tab, then click on the Find & Select button. In the Find and Replace dialog box, click on the Replace tab. In the Find what field, type a dash (-). Leave the Replace with field blank. Then click on the Replace All button.

Another way to replace dashes with periods in Excel is to use a formula. For example, if you have a list of data in column A and you want to replace all of the dashes with periods, you can use the following formula:

=SUBSTITUTE(A1,"-",".")

You can also use this same formula to replace other characters with other characters. Just change what you have in the first set of quotation marks.
