Merging Cells to a Single Sum in Excel

To merge cells and create a single sum in Excel, first select the cells you want to merge. Then, click the "Merge & Center" button on the Home tab of the ribbon. This will combine the selected cells into a single cell. To create a sum, click the cell where you want the sum to appear and type =SUM( followed by the cell references of the cells you want to add together, separated by a comma. For example, to sum cells A1 through A5, you would type =SUM(A1:A5). Finally, press Enter.
