How to Specify a Print Tray for a Worksheet in Excel

When printing a worksheet in Microsoft Excel, you can specify which print tray should be used. This is useful if you have multiple printers and want to ensure that the document is printed on the correct one. To specify a print tray, follow these steps:

  1. Open the worksheet that you want to print.
  2. Click File, and then click Print. The Print dialog box appears.
  3. Click Properties. The Properties dialog box for your printer appears.
  4. Click the Paper/Output tab, and then do one of the following:

    • If you are using Microsoft Office Excel 2007, click the drop-down list next to Paper source, and then select the name of the print tray that you want to use.

    • If you are using Microsoft Office Excel 2003 or an earlier version, click the drop-down list next to Source, and then select the name of the print tray that you want to use.

Note: If your printer does not have multiple trays, this option will not be available.

    1. Click OK. The Properties dialog box closes.

    1. In the Print dialog box, click OK. Your worksheet will now print using the specified print tray.
