How to Quickly Enter Dates and Times in Excel

There are a few different ways to quickly enter dates and times in Excel. One way is to use the DATE function. This function takes three arguments: year, month, and day. For example, to enter the date January 1, 2020, you would use the following formula:

=DATE(2020,1,1)

Another way to quickly enter dates and times in Excel is to use the TIME function. This function takes three arguments: hour, minute, and second. For example, to enter the time 12:00:00 (noon), you would use the following formula:

=TIME(12,0,0)

You can also use the DATEVALUE function to convert a date represented as text into a date value. For example, if you have the text string "1/1/2020" in cell A1, you can use the following formula to convert it into a date value:

=DATEVALUE("1/1/2020")
