How to place formula results in a comment in Excel

To place a formula result in a comment in Excel, you will need to use the Comment function. This function will take the value of the cell that the formula is in and place it in a comment. The Comment function is located in the Insert tab, under the Comments group. You can also find it in the Formulas tab, under the Function Library group.

To use the Comment function:

  1. Select the cell that contains the formula.

  2. Click on the Insert tab.

  3. Click on the Comments button.

  4. (Optional) Enter a comment.

  5. (Optional) Change the size or position of the comment box.

  6. (Optional) Change the font or color of the text in the comment box.

  7. (Optional) To hide or show comments, click on the "Show/Hide Comments". This button is located in the "Comments". If you want to delete a comment, click on "Delete Comment".
