How to Create Multiple Line Headers and Footers in Excel

Headers and footers are a great way to add information to your Excel worksheets. You can use them to add titles, page numbers, dates, and other important information. You can even use them to add images or logos.

Creating headers and footers is easy. Just follow these simple steps:

  1. Open your Excel workbook.
  2. Click on the Page Layout tab.
  3. In the Page Setup group, click on the Header/Footer button.
  4. A new window will open. In this window, you can choose from a variety of header and footer options.
  5. To create a multiple line header or footer, simply click on the Insert AutoText button.
  6. A drop-down menu will appear. From this menu, select the desired option (e.g., Date & Time, File Path, Sheet Name).
  7. Once you've selected the desired option, click on the Insert button.
  8. You can then type your header or footer text in the space provided.
  9. When you're finished, click on the Apply button.
