How to Automatically Select Portrait or Landscape in Excel

When you are working with data in Microsoft Excel, you may find that some of your data is oriented in portrait mode while other data is in landscape mode. If you want to automatically select the orientation that best fits your data, you can use the following steps:

  1. Open Microsoft Excel.
  2. Click on the File tab in the upper left-hand corner.
  3. Click on Options in the drop-down menu.
  4. Click on Advanced in the left-hand column.
  5. Scroll down to the Display section and look for the Orientation options.
  6. Select the option for Automatic.
  7. Click on OK at the bottom of the window to save your changes.

Now, when you enter data into your spreadsheet, it will automatically select the portrait or landscape orientation that best fits your data. This can be a helpful way to save time and ensure that your data is always properly formatted.
