Generating a Web Page in Excel

You can generate a web page in Excel by using the "Publish to the Web" feature. This feature allows you to publish your workbook as a web page, which can be viewed by anyone with an internet connection. To use this feature, follow these steps:

  1. Open your workbook in Excel.
  2. Click the "File" tab, then click "Publish to the Web".
  3. In the "Publish to the Web" dialog box, select the worksheet that you want to publish, then click "Publish".
  4. In the "File name" field, enter a name for your web page. This will be the name of the file that is generated. For example, if you enter "MyWorkbook", the file that is generated will be named "MyWorkbook.htm".
  5. Click "Save". Your web page will be generated and saved in the location that you specified.

Once your web page has been generated, you can view it by opening it in a web browser. To do this, simply double-click on the file that was generated (for example, "MyWorkbook.htm"). Your web page will be displayed in the browser window.


The "Publish to the Web" feature is only available in Microsoft Excel 2013 and later versions.
