Entering Large Time Values in Excel

When entering large time values in Microsoft Excel, it is important to use the correct format. Otherwise, the value will be misinterpreted and may cause errors in calculations. The time values should be entered as follows:

hh:mm:ss

Where hh is the number of hours, mm is the number of minutes, and ss is the number of seconds. For example, if you want to enter a time of 1 hour, 30 minutes, and 45 seconds, you would type:

01:30:45

It is also possible to enter times without seconds. In this case, the format would be:

hh:mm

For example, 2 hours and 15 minutes would be entered as:

02:15
