Counting Odds and Evens in Excel

To count the number of odd and even numbers in a given range of cells in Excel, you can use the COUNTIF function. The syntax for the COUNTIF function is as follows:

COUNTIF(range, criteria)

Where range is the range of cells to be counted and criteria is the criterion used to count. In this case, the criterion would be either "odd" or "even".

For example, let's say you have a range of cells A1:A10, and you want to count the number of odd and even numbers in that range. You would use the following formulas:

=COUNTIF(A1:A10, "odd")
=COUNTIF(A1:A10, "even")

These formulas would return the values 5 and 5, respectively. This is because there are 5 odd numbers and 5 even numbers in the given range.
