Anchoring Comment Boxes in Desired Locations in Excel

Anchoring comment boxes in desired locations in Excel can be a bit of a challenge, but it is possible to do with a little bit of effort. Here are the steps to take in order to anchor comment boxes in desired locations in Excel:

  1. Open up the Excel file that you want to anchor comment boxes in.
  2. Click on the cell where you want the top left corner of the comment box to be located.
  3. Click on the Insert tab at the top of the screen.
  4. Click on the Comment button in the ribbon. This will insert a blank comment box into your spreadsheet.
  5. Type your desired text into the comment box.
  6. Click on the cell where you want the bottom right corner of the comment box to be located.
  7. Click on the Format tab at the top of the screen (this will only appear after you have inserted a comment box).
  8. Click on the Size button in the ribbon. This will open up a dialog box where you can enter in specific values for width and height.
  9. Enter your desired width and height for the comment box and then click OK.
