The Best Shortcut to Select a Row in Excel

There are a few different ways that you can select a row in Excel. The most common way is to click on the row number on the left side of the screen. However, there is a quicker way to select a row that many people don't know about. By using a simple keyboard shortcut, you can select an entire row in just a couple of seconds.

To select a row using a keyboard shortcut, simply hold down the Shift key and then press the Spacebar. This will select the entire row that your cursor is currently on. You can then use the arrow keys to move up or down to another row and press the Spacebar again to select that row as well.

If you want to select multiple rows, you can do so by holding down the Shift key and then clicking on the row numbers of the rows that you want to select. You can also hold down the Shift key and use the arrow keys to select multiple rows. Simply press the Shift key and then use the Up or Down arrow keys to select the rows that you want.

Once you've selected the rows that you want, you can release the Shift key and then use the arrow keys to move around the spreadsheet. The rows that you've selected will remain selected until you take some other action, such as clicking on a different cell or pressing the Esc key.

There are a few things that you can do with rows that you've selected. For example, you can delete the rows, insert new rows, or change the height of the rows. To delete the rows, simply press the Delete key on your keyboard. To insert new rows, press the Insert key. To change the height of the rows, click on the row number and then drag the row boundary up or down.

As you can see, there are a few different ways that you can select a row in Excel. The quickest way is to use the keyboard shortcut, but you can also use the mouse if you prefer. Whichever method you use, you'll be able to select a row in just a few seconds.
