Shortcuts for Commenting in Excel

If you work with Excel on a daily basis, then you know how important it is to be able to quickly and easily add comments to your cells. Comments can be used to explain the purpose of a particular cell, or to provide additional information about the data that is entered into that cell. Fortunately, there are a few different shortcuts that you can use to quickly add comments to cells in Excel.

The first shortcut that you can use is the 'Insert Comment' shortcut. This shortcut is located in the 'Insert' tab of the Excel ribbon. To use this shortcut, simply select the cell that you want to add a comment to and then click on the 'Insert Comment' button. This will open the 'Comment' dialog box, where you can enter your comment.

Another shortcut that you can use to quickly add comments to cells is the 'Ctrl+Shift+M' shortcut. To use this shortcut, simply select the cell that you want to add a comment to and then press the 'Ctrl+Shift+M' keys on your keyboard. This will open the 'Comment' dialog box, where you can enter your comment.

The last shortcut that you can use to quickly add comments to cells is the 'Ctrl+1' shortcut. To use this shortcut, simply select the cell that you want to add a comment to and then press the 'Ctrl+1' keys on your keyboard. This will open the 'Format Cells' dialog box. In the 'Format Cells' dialog box, select the 'Comments' tab and then enter your comment in the 'Comment' text box.

Once you have added your comment, you can then click on the 'OK' button to close the dialog box and save your changes.

As you can see, there are a few different shortcuts that you can use to quickly add comments to cells in Excel. By using these shortcuts, you can save yourself a lot of time and effort when adding comments to your cells.
