Excel Shortcut to Insert Row: How to Save Time on Data Entry

If you work with data in Microsoft Excel, you know that one of the most time-consuming tasks can be inserting rows of data. Whether you're adding new information or copying and pasting data from another source, the process can be tedious and time-consuming. But there's a better way! With a simple keyboard shortcut, you can insert rows in Excel quickly and easily, without having to take your hands off the keyboard or use the mouse.

Here's how it works:

1. Select the cell where you want to insert the new row.

2. Press Alt + I to insert the row above the selected cell, or Alt + Shift + I to insert the row below the selected cell.

3. That's it! The new row will be inserted at the location you selected.
