If you're like most people, you probably use the mouse to click on the little paint bucket icon in the Excel toolbar to fill a cell with color. But did you know there's a keyboard shortcut that will do the same thing?
Just select the cell or cells you want to fill, then press Alt+E, then S. That's it! The cell or cells will be filled with color.
If you want to use a different color, you can press Alt+E, then S, then C. This will open the 'Format Cells' dialog box. From here, you can select the color you want to use.
If you want to quickly fill a cell with the color that's currently selected in the 'Format Cells' dialog box, you can press Alt+E, then S, then F.
That's all there is to it! Now you can quickly and easily fill cells with color, without ever having to reach for the mouse.
