How to Use Grouping Shortcuts in Excel to Save Time

If you work with data in Microsoft Excel, you know that it can be time-consuming to format and rearrange your cells. But did you know that there are some shortcuts that can help you save time when grouping data in Excel? In this article, we'll show you how to use three different grouping shortcuts in Excel to save time and make your data look great.

The first shortcut we'll show you is how to quickly group data by date. To do this, select the cells that you want to group and then press the shortcut keys Ctrl+Shift+→. This will group your data by the dates in the selected cells. You can also use this shortcut to group data by month or year. To group by month, press the shortcut keys Ctrl+Shift+←. To group by year, press the shortcut keys Ctrl+Shift+↑.

The second shortcut we'll show you is how to quickly group data by number. To do this, select the cells that you want to group and then press the shortcut keys Ctrl+Shift+<. This will group your data by the numbers in the selected cells. You can also use this shortcut to group data by percentage or by currency. To group by percentage, press the shortcut keys Ctrl+Shift+>. To group by currency, press the shortcut keys Ctrl+Shift+$.
