How to Clear a Filter With a Keyboard Shortcut in Excel

If you've ever used a filter in Excel, you know how useful they can be for finding and isolating data. But what if you want to clear the filter and start over?

There's no need to go through the menu options to remove a filter. You can do it with a keyboard shortcut. Here's how:

First, make sure your cursor is in the cell that contains the filter. Then, press the following keys at the same time:

Alt + Down Arrow

This shortcut will open the filter drop-down menu. From here, you can use the Up Arrow and Down Arrow keys to move through the options, and the Enter key to select an option. To clear the filter, simply select the (All) option.
