If you're like most people, you probably use the mouse to select a cell value in Excel and then press the Ctrl+X keys to cut it. However, there's a faster way to do this. The correct keyboard shortcut to cut a cell value in Excel is actually Ctrl+Shift+X. Here's how it works:
- First, select the cell value that you want to cut.
- Next, press and hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard.
- While still holding down the Ctrl key, press and hold down the Shift key.
- Finally, while still holding down both the Ctrl and Shift keys, press the X key. This will cut the cell value.
You can then paste the cell value into another cell by pressing the Ctrl+V keys. This keyboard shortcut is much faster than using the mouse to select the cell value and then pressing the Ctrl+X keys.
