Sorting by Fill Color in Excel

To sort by fill color in Excel, first select the cells you want to sort. Then, on the Home tab, in the Editing group, click Sort & Filter. Click Sort by Color, and then click the color that you want to sort by.

You can also sort by more than one color. To do this, first select the cells you want to sort. Then, on the Home tab, in the Editing group, click Sort & Filter. Click Sort by Color, and then click the first color that you want to sort by. Next, hold down Ctrl, and click the second color that you want to sort by.

Note: To quickly select all cells that contain a certain color, on the Home tab, in the Editing group, click Find & Select, and then click Go To Special. Under Go to what, click Formulas, Numbers, Errors, or Text that contains specific text or formatting, and then click OK.
