Opening a Workbook But Disabling Macros in Excel

If you're working with sensitive data in Excel, you may want to disable macros when opening a workbook. This can help prevent malicious code from running without your knowledge. Here's how to do it:

  1. Open Excel and click on the File tab.
  2. Click Options.
  3. In the Excel Options window, click Trust Center. Then click Trust Center Settings.
  4. In the Trust Center Settings window, click Macro Settings. Then select the option to "Disable all macros except digitally signed macros".
  5. Click OK. You'll be prompted to restart Excel.
