Magnifying Only the Current Cell in Excel

If you want to magnify only the current cell in Excel, you can do so by following these steps:

  1. Open Excel and select the cell you want to magnify.
  2. Click the "View" tab on the ribbon.
  3. Click the "Zoom" button in the "Zoom" group.
  4. Enter the percentage you want to magnify the cell by in the "Zoom to:" field and click "OK".

You can also use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+> (press and hold down the Ctrl, Shift, and > keys at the same time) to magnify the current cell by 25%. You can use this keyboard shortcut multiple times to further increase the magnification.


  • If you want to return to normal size, click the "View" tab on the ribbon and click "Normal" in the "Zoom" group or press Ctrl+Shift+N. You can also double-click anywhere outside of a cell.
