To get rid of leading zeros in a number format in Excel, you can use the following steps:

1. Select the cells that you want to format.
2. On the Home tab, in the Number group, click General. This will remove any existing formatting and apply the default number format.

3. Note:

   • If the cells are already formatted with the General format, the leading zeros will not be removed.

4. Click the Increase Decimal button or press Ctrl+, (comma) until all of the leading zeros are gone.
