If you work with data in Excel, you may find yourself in a situation where you need to sum values across multiple worksheets. For example, you may have a workbook with one sheet for each month of the year, and you want to sum the values in a column on each sheet. Or, you may have a workbook with one sheet for each region, and you want to sum the values in a column on each sheet.
In either case, you can use the SUMIF function to sum the values in a column on multiple worksheets. The SUMIF function takes three arguments:
For example, the following formula will sum the values in column A on all worksheets in the workbook:
=SUMIF(A:A,">0")
You can also use the SUMIF function to sum the values in a column on multiple worksheets based on a criteria. For example, the following formula will sum the values in column A on all worksheets in the workbook where the value in column B is greater than 10:
=SUMIF(A:A,B:B,">10")
You can also use the SUMIF function to sum the values in a column on multiple worksheets based on a criteria in another column. For example, the following formula will sum the values in column A on all worksheets in the workbook where the value in column B is equal to "A":
=SUMIF(A:A,B:B,"A")
You can also use the SUMIF function to sum the values in a column on multiple worksheets based on a criteria in another column. For example, the following formula will sum the values in column A on all worksheets in the workbook where the value in column B is not equal to "A":
=SUMIF(A:A,B:B,"<>A")
You can also use the SUMIF function to sum the values in a column on multiple worksheets based on a criteria in another column. For example, the following formula will sum the values in column A on all worksheets in the workbook where the value in column B is greater than or equal to 10:
=SUMIF(A:A,B:B,">=10")
You can also use the SUMIF function to sum the values in a column on multiple worksheets based on a criteria in another column. For example, the following formula will sum the values in column A on all worksheets in the workbook where the value in column B is less than or equal to 10:
=SUMIF(A:A,B:B,"<=10")
You can also use the SUMIF function to sum the values in a column on multiple worksheets based on a criteria in another column. For example, the following formula will sum the values in column A on all worksheets in the workbook where the value in column B is greater than 10 and the value in column C is equal to "A":
=SUMIF(A:A,B:B,">10",C:C,"A")
You can also use the SUMIF function to sum the values in a column on multiple worksheets based on a criteria in another column. For example, the following formula will sum the values in column A on all worksheets in the workbook where the value in column B is greater than 10 and the value in column C is not equal to "A":
=SUMIF(A:A,B:B,">10",C:C,"<>A")
You can also use the SUMIF function to sum the values in a column on multiple worksheets based on a criteria in another column. For example, the following formula will sum the values in column A on all worksheets in the workbook where the value in column B is greater than 10 and the value in column C is greater than or equal to 10:
=SUMIF(A:A,B:B,">10",C:C,">=10")
You can also use the SUMIF function to sum the values in a column on multiple worksheets based on a criteria in another column. For example, the following formula will sum the values in column A on all worksheets in the workbook where the value in column B is greater than 10 and the value in column C is less than or equal to 10:
=SUMIF(A:A,B:B,">10",C:C,"<=10")
You can also use the SUMIF function to sum the values in a column on multiple worksheets based on a criteria in another column. For example, the following formula will sum the values in column A on all worksheets in the workbook where the value in column B is greater than 10 and the value in column C is equal to "A" and the value in column D is not equal to "B":
=SUMIF(A:A,B:B,">10",C:C,"A",D:D,"<>B")
You can also use the SUMIF function to sum the values in a column on multiple worksheets based on a criteria in another column. For example, the following formula will sum the values in column A on all worksheets in the workbook where the value in column B is greater than 10 and the value in column C is equal to "A" and the value in column D is greater than or equal to 10:
=SUMIF(A:A,B:B,">10",C:C,"A",D:D,">=10")
You can also use the SUMIF function to sum the values in a column on multiple worksheets based on a criteria in another column. For example, the following formula will sum the values in column A on all worksheets in the workbook where the value in column B is greater than 10 and the value in column C is equal to "A" and the value in column D is less than or equal to 10:
