How to Use the Uppercase Shortcut in Excel

If you work with data in Microsoft Excel, you may find yourself needing to convert text to uppercase letters. For example, you may have a list of names in lowercase letters that you need to convert to uppercase. Or, you may have a list of items in all uppercase letters that you need to convert to lowercase. Whatever the case may be, you can use the UPPERCASE shortcut in Excel to quickly convert text to uppercase letters.

To use the UPPERCASE shortcut, select the cells that you want to convert. Then, press the shortcut keys: Ctrl+Shift+U. The text in the selected cells will be converted to uppercase letters.

You can also use the UPPERCASE shortcut to convert text to proper case. Proper case means that the first letter of each word is capitalized, while the other letters are lowercase.
