How to quickly insert a row in Excel using a keyboard shortcut

If you're like most people, you probably use your mouse to click on the row headers to select a row in Microsoft Excel. But did you know that there's a quicker way to do it using only your keyboard?

Here's how:

  1. First, make sure that your cursor is in the cell where you want the new row to appear.
  2. Then, press and hold the Shift key on your keyboard.
  3. While still holding down the Shift key, press the Down Arrow key to select the row below the one where your cursor is.
  4. Release the Shift and Down Arrow keys.
  5. Press the Insert key on your keyboard.
  6. A new row will appear above the one that was selected.

That's all there is to it! Now you can quickly insert rows in Excel using only your keyboard.
